The inauguration of the elected President Branko Crvenkovski took place on Wednesday, making the new Crvenkovski President of the Republic of Macedonia.

“Our true and our greatest responsibility is (the one we have) about the future of our citizens and our state,” said the new president during his inauguration speech.

Accession to the European Union and NATO, designated as the “European project”, is the highest priority strategic country, he said, adding he was ready to engage fully and to devote themselves to achieving these objectives.

“As President of the Republic of Macedonia, I will spare no effort to strengthen the confidence inter-ethnic coexistence, tolerance and ethno-religious,” he said.

Crvenkovski was elected President of the Republic of Macedonia last month, after the tragic death of former Macedonian President Boris Trajkovski February 26 in a plane crash.
