The hinterland and the Special Administrative Region of Hong Kong will strengthen their cooperation and exchanges in education, with the signing Sunday in Beijing, a memorandum on mutual recognition of university diplomas .

The memorandum was signed at a time when exchanges between universities in both parties are becoming more frequent, said an official from Chinese Ministry of Education at the signing ceremony.

Under this memorandum, students hinterland, who have graduated licensing, can undertake graduate studies in Hong Kong directly, while those with their Master’s degree may continue their studies directly PhD, and vice versa.
