China attaches importance to its friendly relations with Romania and would like to bring their friendly cooperation to a higher level, said Wednesday in Beijing, State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan of China.

When meeting with a delegation of young Romanian, Tang said that China wants to work with Romania to further develop bilateral friendly relations. He also expressed his hope that the youth of both countries to move towards the future, increase exchanges, enhance friendship, and bear all the responsibility for making the friendly Sino-Romanian long term.

The delegation, composed by 58 members, including young politicians, businessmen, journalists, artists and representatives of nongovernmental organizations in Romania, visited China to attend the festival of young Chinese and Romanian, an activity organized by the both countries to mark the 55th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries.
