Bush promises to lead the international war against terrorism
U.S. President George W. Bush on Monday reaffirmed his determination to lead the international war against terrorism.
In his speech at the Oakridge National Laboratory (Tennessee, South), Mr Bush said: “the threat of global terrorism requires a global response. An effective global response requires leadership, and America will ensure this commandment.
Mr. Bush emphasized his efforts to win the war against international terrorism since the attacks of September 11, 2001.
Affirming that “the American people are safer,” he acknowledged however that the United States remain a nation at risk, and were directly threatened by “an enemy that plots in secret to cause harm and pain terrible.
He assured that his administration was determined to face the new threats, saying they could not ignore them or simply wait for another tragedy.

美国总统布什布什16日重申，他决心带领国际反恐怖主义的战争。

他保证他的政府决心面对新的威胁，说他们不能对此置之不理，或只是等待另一场悲剧。
